  1. I have been waiting forever for the next story and I was not disapointed! It’s better than Colters’ Woman!

  2. When Colters’ Woman was released with the expanded version and then Colters’ Wife with Callie’s Meadow I was thrilled. What thrilled me more was the sneak peak at Colters’ Lady. I couldn’t wait for this next generation of the Colter family. I was not disappointed. It was a great story and filled with hunky alpha males. I do agree that the heroine was a little too needy but I seriously don’t think these men would have fell so hard if she wasn’t a little needy. I looking forward to Callie’s story. For some reason, I think she’s going to surprise all of us!

  3. I was extremely happy to find this on Amazon the same day it was released by Samhain. I rank Colters’ Woman as one of my all-time favorite romance novels, and Colters’ Lady certainly did not disappoint. I hesitate to give it 5 stars however because, yet once again, Ms. Banks gives us a milquetoast, needy heroine; quite similar to Colters’ Woman. Yes, the heroine does pull herself together towards the end; however it’s a bit too reminiscent. That aside, I really enjoyed revisiting the Colter family and I am waiting, quite anxiously, for Callie’s story. I do have one small beef – the typos were fairly annoying. The ¾ sign throughout ( was this in lieu of a dash?) and the sometimes incorrectly used words were jarring. Is it only me, or does this seem to be a trend with e-books? I really don’t remember being pulled out of the story like this with print books. I can’t help but wonder if e-books are being edited as thoroughly. I certainly do not hold these against Ms. Banks. My review is based solely on the story.

  4. COLTERS’ LADY sucked me in from the first page. I felt for Lily and wanted to know what happened in her life to lead her down that road. While I completely understand other readers annoyance with Lily’s seemingly helplessness that didn’t bother me as much as it had other readers and I think that’s because Ms. Banks skills as a writer.

Also, I must say as someone who is not usually fond of ménage or in this case quarte scenes, I totally bought into the relationship with Lily and the Colter men. Unlike Colters’ Wife, there wasn’t one brother who I felt would have made Lily a better partner. In COLTERS’ LADY all the brothers brought something to the table and not one brother stood out, but each was needed to help Lily develop into a fuller person.

I suppose that brings me to the sex scenes. For an author who is know for her sexual content that can sometimes make readers uncomfortable I was surprised at how Ms. Banks managed to make a love scene erotic as well as shall I say sweet, especially the ménage and quarte scenes.

What did drive me crazy about COLTERS LADY is the climax of COLTERS’ LADY and Lily’s confrontation with her past. Without giving anything away, that scene annoyed me. I couldn’t buy Lily’s easy acceptance and forgiveness. I mean I understand the need for forgiveness, but there is also a need to speak your mind. Lily didn’t speak her mind, in my opinion and it was too weak. There was so much that should’ve been said in that scene with Lily and the person from her past. And if I say what I thought Lily should’ve said that would be filled with too many spoilers. While reading that scene, I was screaming in my head all the things Lily should’ve said. I was furious, I mean furious at Lily for not screaming what I was thinking at that SOB as well.

Even now, writing this review several days after I finished the book, I’m still annoyed. LOL. So at least it elicted a strong emotional response that I’ll remember for a long time. And you may not have that response. I may have had that response because I’m a big-mouthed and vindictive. LOL!

  5. I would have liked this book to have had more of an ending, it seemed to end abruptly compared to the other books that I have read from this author, which is why I only gave it 4 stars
