M-Edge Flip Kindle Jacket , Apple Green w/Tan
Just got a Kindle for my birthday, so I immediately went in search of a protective cover. I didn’t want anything leather (too stuffy/easy to damage) or dorky, and this seemed to fit the bill. I’ve been very pleased with it.
What I like:
firm cover protects screen – the whole point of my buying a cover
holds kindle securely with soft straps
soft lining feels nice when reading, won’t abrade surface
little added size – actually a bit easier to hold with the added depth, in my opinion
can just flip open and read, or secure the flap with elastic strap – either works well
looks cute – kelly green and tan leather looks preppy and nice, not like a leather day planner or a computer case
What I miss:
wish it sealed completely closed to protect from scratches from loose change/pens/pencil lead/etc. floating around in my purse. Currently I just don’t keep that kind of junk in my bag, or I don’t put the kindle in the bag with it. I didn’t take any stars away, though, because I knew what I was buying, and it wasn’t a sleeve. Having had this for a while, I decided I didn’t want a sleeve anyway – this is quicker to open and close, and you don’t have an extra piece of stuff in your lap, which I especially enjoyed on a recent plane trip. No problem reading in the security line, putting it away, reading at the gate, putting it away, reading at baggage claim, putting it away, etc.
love it would and would definitely buy again.
oh, and it has a slit on the right side for a book light – you won’t notice it if you don’t have anything in there, it’s part of the seam between the lining and exterior. I don’t have a book light, so I can’t say if it works well, but it’s there.

I purchased this cover for my husbands Kindle. The cover he had was a padded zip up, and the front cover folded back while reading. While it was a secure home for his Kindle, it was a bit bulky and cumbersome while reading. I noticed this particular cover when purchasing a new one for myself and thought it’d be great for the hubby. While I like to hold my Kindle ‘naked’ when reading, he likes his to stay in it’s cover. This is PERFECT. The fabric is tough and sturdy, but in no way bulky. The cover flips up and over, and the elastic strap keeps it flat in place. The cover isn’t any wider then the Kindle itself, so while it’s a very durable case, it’s like it’s not even there when you’re reading, which is wonderful. If you’re at all interested in this case, I definitely say go for it! Of the five Kindle cases my husband and I have between us, four of them are M-Edge, and we haven’t been disappointed by a single one (it’s our needs that change…that’s why we have so many…no fault of the covers)

The manufacturing seems sturdy and is made from materials that are heavier than they have to be. The elastic on the front and corner stays are made from leather and are nylon-stitched to the backing material.
There is enough padding on the front to feel secure about shoving your Kindle into a bag.
When the top is folded out of the way, the elastic holds the back in place and you forget it’s there.
