  1. I bought this recently, it just arrived. It is a functional, well-designed case, but either Amazon put the wrong image with the product, or they had some VERY bright lights aimed on it. Mine is a muddy brown where the red should be, with a lighter tan, the color of most leather items, where the orange strap should be. Both the label on it and the paper that came with it claim it is this case, “Pebbled Mocha w/ Saddle Strap”, so I was not shipped the wrong one. Don’t get me wrong, the case is sturdy, snug and well-built, but it doesn’t look anything like it should.

  2. This is a very nice looking/functioning e-reader cover. The leather is high quality and looks very nice. I especially like the contrast in dark/light brown with the cover and strap. I would definitely recommend this product.

  3. I received my Kindle as a present. I was less than thrilled, to be honest. I love books and reading. Everything about reading a book is dear to me… the smell of the newsprint and ink, the crack of the spine, the crinkle of the paper, the dog-eared pages. I was not comfortable reading on my Kindle until I got this cover for it. Now, I LOVE it! This cover gives you the sense of a book. It folds over and you can use the little closing tab to keep the cover open. I also purchased a reading light and it fits perfectly in this cover as well. I would urge every Kindle owner to get one of these covers… and rediscover your love of reading on your Kindle.

  4. After buying a Kindle, I knew I had to have two essential accessories: a Cover and a Light. After looking at most of the options available, I settled on the M-Edge Prodigy with the M-Edge e-Luminator2 Kindle Booklight (Fits 6″ Display, Latest Generation Kindle)and I have to say I am very pleased with both. The Prodigy case gives the Kindle the feel of a fine leather bound journal. The cover is hard sided, so it does provide protection to the Kindle and the interior is felted to prevent damage to the surface of the Kindle itself. The cover also uses the built in slots on the side of the Kindle which allow for securely attaching the cover. A nice feature which some covers lack are two elastic loops which hold down the outer edge corners, allowing the cover and Kindle to feel like one unit rather than feeling loose and unsecured.

The M-Edge e-Luminator2 Kindle Booklight (Fits 6″ Display, Latest Generation Kindle) fits snugly in a special pocket behind the Kindle and folds down the side of the device in a way which allows you to close the cover and slide the leather latch into place. Also the Prodigy has internal pockets for storing those rare paper notes or cards I may want handy but are not really big enough to hold much of anything else.

The front cover folds back nicely and allows you to hold and operate the device with one hand, just as you would with no cover. This way the cover does its job, protecting the Kindle and making it look nice, and then gets out of the way when you actually use the device.

The only negative for me is the leather “latch” which is just a length of leather that slides into a slot on the front cover. It is the one thing about the case that I can’t seem to get out of the way without either holding it under my hand or folding it back in a way which reverses the stress on the fold. I am afraid this will weaken the strip over time and will cause it to be the first thing to break, if I don’t cut it off first because it slipped out from under my hand one too many times and got in the way of my reading yet again. Also, it can be difficult to slide into its slot at times and is generally the bane of the device.

Overall it is a great case and I am sure you will be pleased with its quality, beauty, and function, especially if you pair it with the light.

  5. Durable and still slim enough to carry in my purse. Still gives you the feel of holding a book for us old school readers! Love it and feel it will extend the life of my kindle by providing much needed protection.
