I'm considering buying this but need to know if it has any prongs that jut into the Kindle the way the official Amazon one did which cracked my kindle in two places. I've just received a replacement and don't want to crack this one as well.

My M-edge cover arrived smelling musty...like it got soaked in the ship's hold on the way from the Orient. Beyond that, I think the leather looks too much like the "pleather" of diner stools and the padded cover makes me think of my fat uncle's shirt after a turkey dinner. Did I say turkey? The M-Edge is a turkey. I subsequently bought the Cole Haan soft leather cover and, although it costs twice as much, it is light-years softer and waaay classier. Beware "cheaper" because you get what you pay for.

I have purchased three covers for my kindle and do not use this one as it is the heaviest and clunkiest. I feel like I am reading a hardcover book if I am reading with it on. The point of a kindle for me was to feel like I was NOT reading a large hardcover even if I'm reading a 1000 page book. However, I have no complaints about the quality as it appears to be a quality product with good workmanship and the heavy padding would appear to protect the kindle as well. It fastens securely with the hinge plus additional corner straps on the right side. If you are looking for a strong cover with good padding, this is for you, even though for me, I prefer a much smaller tighter fitting book cover that fints in my purse easier. I only gave it 3 stars because of the lack of usability due to size and weight but gave it that many even though I don't use it because it appears well made and will protect.

When I ordered my Kindle, IT DID NOT SAY THAT IT CAME WITH A COVER!!!! So, I thought I had to order one. This cover came a week before my Kindle. When my Kindle finally came, I discovered it came with a much better, more compact cover included. The Kindle arrived in Florida as I was leaving to go back to Montreal. When I got back to Florida, I mailed the first cover back to you. What an aggravation and waste of time. Please stop sending me the ridiculous ads to buy more covers. Why would anyone want to buy another fatter cover? Lillian Vineberg
