Thanks for the information …. do the text to voice feature work for the PDF uploaded through USB …. and you have mentioned about global wifi… can we connect Kindle2 to PC through USB & then Drag and drop the PDF which we want to read from PC

yes, you can transfer PDF’s with the Kindle2 latest edition (global wifi) the only downfall is that there does not seem to be a way to zoom in or change text size with the PDF’s that I transferred. so depending on the PDF file it may be very difficult to read a book in PDF format.
I am contemplating of buying e book reader & was doing some research on the same . I came across your review in you tube which helped me to understand the pros & cons of the it . I have one specific query on the Kindle that whether we can transfer the PDF from PC to Kindle through USB. I have a number of e-books in PDF format downloaded from different sites…I was wondering whether I can transfer those files to Kindle through USB.

the reason it lags is because the Kindle has an e-ink screen. Whenever you move something on the screen it has to push up iron oxide to make the image. On you iPhone you have an LED screen which is a bunch of lights. Turning on and off a light is a lot faster than a chemical reaction.
I ordered a kindle a couple days ago and im just waiting for it to come in. I like the concept but your review made me like it even more because I dont have alot of info about them other then stats that ive found on the web
