Intel Vs Amd?Which is the best for gaming?

I want a $800 Gaming PC .I want it to be like this with Intel-
Intel i7 920 Processor,MSI or Gigabyte Motherboard,Nvidia GTX 275,Western Digital 300 GB Velocoraptor 1000rpm,4 GB ram and any DVD reader and ANY good case.Tell me any other Gaming pc or should I wait for the new Direct X 11.

What are you asking for if you already have your mind made up?
performance wise there is no difference, but AMD wins simply because its cheaper meaning more $$$ can be put towards the Graphics.
also unless your using a 64bit os only 3.5gb of ram will be recognised
