I bought the Kindle 2 at Amazon ( bit.ly ) a few Days ago and received it (I payed for 1-day shipping, I just couldn’t wait). I also ordered the leather cover for it ( bit.ly ) (shown in video). So far I’m very pleased. There are a number of Free Books you can get on this as well as the books from Amazon (which are much lower priced than the full paper versions) You can also subscribe to Newspaper (which was being uploaded to my Kindle as I was talking, I just turned on the wireless. Notice how fast it was.) It has a simple web browser… It supports ‘javascript’, Cookies. I can check my bank data with it, many banks now have a mobile site. It also has text-to-speech built in (speakers on the back, and a headphone jack. Also has volume control) This version DOES NOT have native support for PDF, but they can be easily converted for free (via email) or for a small fee (to cover the whispernet transmission) I’ve already even made a few of my own ebooks with Amazon Kindle Format (using mobipocket Creator)
