I returned this item the day after I received it, very disappointed. I thought the patent finish with the weave pattern looked cheap, like plastic, but worse than that, the hinges where they hook to the Kindle were not high enough and my Kindle popped up when placed flat on a table. The inside materiel felt very nice and cushiony, and the cover would have been fine for less than $50 or if received as a gift, but for this money is just not good enough. I ended up with a slightly cheaper case that lays flat like its supposed to.

OK. I give up! To attach the kindle to the Cole Haan cover I read in a review that the bottom hinge goes on first; however, that means the top hinge doesn’t fit! Ridiculous that such an expensive item should be confusing in making a simple attachment.

I absolutely love my Kindle and have 2 covers already but thought I would indulge myself with the Cole Haan and then really go for it with the purple (when in my heart I wanted to stay safe with the bronze). I could not wait for it to arrive. It came today and I am so disappointed! The back cover was warped so I am definately sending it back. But what was really disappointing was how uncomfortable it felt to hold it…maybe it’s the hardness of the patent leather but it actually felt like it was cutting my fingers. I am going to give the manufacturer the benefit of the doubt and order the bronze (which is not a patent leather, and should be more supple) and then hope it’s not warped when that one arrives!

Purchased this cover for my Kindle about a month ago. I love this. I was concerned because it didn’t have clips for the right side of the Kindle, but you don’t need it. It’s very secure. There are little holes for tabs on the left side of the Kindle, which I hadn’t noticed. I carry it with me in my pocketbook everywhere I go. I’ve gotten several compliments on the cover as well as the Kindle. I would highly recommend. It’s a little more expensive I’m sure just because it’s Cole Haan, but it’s so soft inside and pretty outside. Love it!!

so glad i got this. i love the color and thought it was over the top to buy based on color and name, but i am so glad i did it. reading the kindle has been much more fun and a little classier. the only thing that i have to remind myself that the left flap does not flip backward too well. but other than that, great, comfortable to hold and i feel my little rather over the top expensive “book” is well protected.
