I ordered this almost 3 weeks ago and still no shipping date. Amazon was not helpful at all and it makes me question my decision to buy a Kindle 2 in the first place. I thought Amazon had a great reputation for customer service, this is not the case.

I really do like this cover for my kindle. It looks great, and is easy to hold without adding a ton of bulk. My kindle is still slim and fits easily in my briefcase. What I’m not wild about is that this cover is described as being able to stand up like an easel…which is does, but only if you are going to “stop” the back flap against something. If you are on a cleared table and there’s nothing behind your kindle, it will not stay upright. So that was disappointing, as that was a major deciding factor for me with this cover. Other than that, though, I like it.

When this cover first arrived, I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to like it or not. The leather started out very stiff, which meant that opening and closing the little “tab” was a bit difficult, and when I tried to stand it up on a table for hands-free reading, I didn’t like the angle it stood at. HOWEVER, I have now had it for about a month, and the leather has loosened up beautifully! The tab closes the cover securely, but is still easy to open and close. The front cover flips back effortlessly, and the folding point (between front and back cover) is now malleable enough that I can easily adjust the standing position to whatever angle I want.
I’ve seen some reviews that complain about the extra space on the left hand side (to accomodate the M-Edge E-Luminator light). I actually like that part, because that’s usually where I end up holding it while I read. Somehow, it just feels very comfortable to place my thumb there, and then just move my thumb over a bit each time I want to hit the “next page” button.
The green is a lovely color, and looks absolutely PERFECT with my “Aspens” skin from DecalGirl.
The only downside for me is that it does add quite a bit of weight and bulk to my Kindle, but I guess that’s the trade-off for having all the extra padding and protection (although I do think that there are covers out there that protect the K2 and don’t add quite as much weight or bulk). I do use the E-Luminator light, so I like having the pocket for that, but I don’t think that I’ll ever need/use the other pockets or the pen loop, so those seem like wasted bulk/weight. (I can’t imagine ever wanting/needing a pen while reading my Kindle, plus I worry that storing a pen right at the top edge of my Kindle could possible damage the Kindle, if the pen got pushed up against the Kindle while the cover was in my bag or something.)

I LOVE this cover for the Kindle. It is classy looking and protects my Kindle. I like the versatility of this model because it stands upright or on its side easily. Also there are two handy little pockets and a pen holder. I added their reading light and now I am good to go in any situation!

I love this leather case for my kindle…the bright green makes it easy to find in my carry on bag!
