i am a simple student and i want to build my first ever pc system for personal use like video editing (HEAVY) word typing, internet, email, uploads digital cam videos, store loads and loads of pictures from photo album (really HUGE).
i have come up with the following spec:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4Ghz
2GB RAM DIMM
MSI 975X Platinum Power Up motherboard
WINDOWS XP Home
250GB SATA II Drive
500GB SATA II Drive
20X DVDRW Drive
1.44MB 3.5 Inch Floppy Disk Drive
Internal 52 In 1 Card Reader
ATX Case
500W PSU with 120MM Case Fan
what are your views on the spec?
any improvements needed, comments, or suggestions?????
what graphics cards shall i go for?
I would go for a pci express nividia 8800
I think Floppy Disk Drive is unnecessary!
Can you wait until July 22nd ? In that time you can get Intel Quadcores for half price.
Get this :
Intel Q6600
Asus P35K Deluxe
2GB RAM
Win XP Professional
2x 250GB SATAII Drives then RAID 0 them
1x 500GB SATAII drive as Storage
For a video card, you can get 8800GTS 320Mb or 8600 if you don’t play games a lot. But if you are a hardcore gamer, get 8800GTX.
You got more budget ?
Get the Intel 6850 or QX6800, another 8800GTX then SLI them, get 2 Raptor drive then RAID 0 them and get more bigger PSU, minimum 800 watt.
You can forget the floppy, unless you really need it.
unless youve got an xtra $400 plus dollars for that graphics card , you can get the geforce 7800 gt oc right now for $179 awsome card
