The iPad IS a real tablet. Tablet PC’s have REAL WORLD Lag built in. That’s why they universally suck. I won’t buy a cintiq for a few reasons.
1) it starts at $999
2) It has wires and I want wireLESS. Wacom Tablets have shitty wiring.
I bought the iPhone 3GS two months ago, and I already dislike it. (And no, I’m neither a tech newbie nor an Apple hater. I’m an amateur programmer who likes Powerbooks.) Not that I know of clearly better alternatives (maybe Droid?), but it falls far short of my expectation from a phone that built up such hype. If iPad is “basically a larger version of iPhone,” I wouldn’t think about buying it even after later gens get released…

The Ipad is hardly new tech, look up the HP TC1100. Released in 2003 it has better specs than the Ipad (except MT) and it’ll run apps with no VNC.
