  2. I love the color, easily visible in the heap of chaos in my life. Easy to use, holds the cord, everything all together, which is what I need in the chaos of my life. Doesn’t have to be zipped up to hold the Kindle securely, but the zip closure is great when you need it. I love the Kindle too.

  3. The M-Edge Latitude Kindle cover is exactly what I was looking for to protect my Kindle. The cover itself is rugged and durable and my Kindle fits perfectly – no worries about the Kindle falling out of the jacket! I love that the cover folds over and zips close making it easy and convenient to read anywhere. My only complaint is that the Kindle charger makes the front pocket a bit bulky but that’s really more of a concern to voice to Kindle, not M-Edge! Overall I highly recommend this product!

  4. When I got my Kindle, I was worried about it getting broken when travelling and commuting. I bought this case as well as the Patagonia zipper case. I felt that the zipper cases seemed like they would offer more protection than the other cases sold. I had trouble with the Patagonia case zipping. The zipper kept getting stuck so I returned it. I haven’t had any problems with this case. I love it! It makes it feel a little more like you’re holding a book when you’re reading and the zipper keeps any dust/dirt out when you’re travelling with it. I like how you can charge the Kindle while in the case but it’s easy to take out for showing it to someone. I’ve been stopped while reading several times from people that havne’t seen a Kindle before and it’s nice to know that it’s protected in the case but also that it’s easy to take out and show the people that are curious about the product.

  5. I am very particular about K2 covers, and I spend inordinate amounts of time obsessing over them, so I should state that upfront. The first case I purchased was the Patagonia when I received my K2 in February, 2009. It worked just fine, but the fit is a bit loose and sloppy, and I wanted something a bit more refined. The Latitude is a better fit and it’s much nicer looking and of course it’s well-made like all M-Edge products. I have two problems with it:

    1. I don’t like touching the felt lining. I’m the kind of person who can’t tear cotton balls (weird, I know), and the feel of the lining is soft (just like polartec; in fact I think it is polartec) but gives me shivers up my spine. There is no way to avoid touching the felt when you fold the cover back to read. I’m just including this in case there is anyone else who has this issue. I assume that my sensitivity to texture is rare though.

    2. In between the Patagonia and the Latitude, I bought an M-Edge Go cover and got used to the convenience of not fussing with zippers. The Go cover flips open and closed so easily, it’s a pleasure to use. The only problem with the Go, and the reason I went on to purchase the Latitude, is the Go is on the heavier side, and the Latitude is about 5 ounces lighter.

Those are the only criticisms I have of the Latitude, and they are really not criticisms, just personal preferences. I would happily keep the cover and switch off to it when I want to travel light, but I’m not good at using the fasteners on the Go cover, so I can’t switch off easily. Doesn’t seem worth returning given the shipping charges, so maybe I’ll sell it on ebay or something. Too bad. Love the lime green color, by the way.
