I received this cover as a gift. When I opened the plastic wrapper, the smell was awful. After a few days outdoors, the odor remains. It will take a long time to feel it is o.k.

Great color. Suede inside keeps it in place on treadmill controls. Noticed the leather smell for a couple of minutes and then it was gone.

Nothing too much to say. I got a pretty good idea of what it would look like from the online picture. It looks and feels a bit nicer than I had figured it would.

I bought the marbled red, and I really like it. I had read a few posts that mentioned the dangers of cracking the screen on my new Kindle so I was nervous. I also looked at a lot of custom, artistic styles here and on Etsy but couldn’t find a hard-cover in a pattern I thought I’d want to live with for a while that would hold up to grimy fingers, coffee rings, pokes/prods, etc that are part of life when you’re curled up with a book or stuffing it in a purse. I love the color of my cover (matches all my red business accessories), and I believe it’s real leather – looks very high quality. The inside is a faux suede fabric, light gray, very pretty. The latch is a way cool feature, snapped right onto the Kindle securely. I can fold back the cover to read with one hand. All in all, I really like it and feel quite stylish carrying it. One small suggestion would be to create a place on the back inside cover (behind the Kindle) to tuck a business card or write contact information in case you lose it.
Oh, and I didn’t notice any smell with mine – a couple of other reviewers mentioned it.
