It’s not a Kindle or Sony ebook reader – it’s much more! It’s a full computer with open-source programs including an incredible ebook reader. The One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) educational project is working hard to close the gap in the digital divide. If you would like to know more about the XO Laptop and the OLPC, please take a look at my blog posts on this topic: librarianbydesign.blogspot.com
I bought one and gave one but haven’t managed to master it. For instance, in this demo I couldn’t see what buttons you were pressing on the keyboard to accomplish this and that. I’m also interested in how to get to a book I might have downloaded onto a flash drive which I bring to this computer. Eager to enjoy it, but not so far!
be careful guys, theres alot of scam websites claming there selling these laptops so be careful i got scammed once
wow sooo BIG
I can’t wait to get mine, it should come this week and this review made me psyched. It’s surprising how crisp they made the screen on this laptop because I have heard reviews that said it looked like reading newspaper which is just incredible. I’m going to download a few e-books when I get connected to the internet.
Great demo! Loved the review, well done
Excellent demo, great device. Kudos to the OLPC team!
